Financing Options
Financing Options for services other than LASIK.
Financing For Office Visits
At Ophthalmology Associates, we are concerned for your eye health and diligently do all we can to make your eyecare financially agreeable. We participate with most insurance plans and will file your insurance for you. We do, however, ask that you pay at time of service for co-pays, deductibles or out-of-pocket expenses we have been able to identify upfront and not covered by your insurance plans. We accept Master Card, Visa, American Express and Discover and CareCredit for some procedures (see procedures listed below.) Please contact our office to see if you qualify for CareCredit based on our office policies. Once your claim has been processed by your carrier you will receive a statement for any other expenses according to your insurance. Ophthalmology Associates offers you the ease of paying your balance online from home or your mobile or tablet device. Just click “Pay Online” from your mobile device or our blue “Pay Online” button on our home page from your computer.
Refraction policy
During your visit, a vision test, called a refraction or manifest refraction, may be performed to determine your current or best corrected vision or in order for you to receive a prescription for glasses or contact lenses. Please be aware that this vision test is considered a non-covered service by Medicare and most insurance companies and you are responsible for payment. The charge for this test is $49.00 and will be collected at checkout.
Contact Lens Fitting
In order to receive a contact lens prescription, a contact lens fitting must be performed. There will be a separate charge for the fitting which may or may not be covered by insurance. Based on your benefits, you will be required to pay for your fitting in full before receiving your contact lens prescription.
Your Healthcare Credit Card
Ophthalmology Associates is also happy to assist you with financing. CareCredit is North America’s leading patient healthcare credit card exclusively designed for healthcare services. We accept CareCredit* for some healthcare procedures not commonly covered by insurance, including LASIK, Premium and Specialty Lens Implants (IOLs) and some Cataract, Glaucoma, Retina and Cosmetic Procedures over $400. Please check with us to see if your procedures meet our policy guidelines before applying.
*Subject to credit approval. Minimum monthly payments required. Visit www.carecredit.com for details.
