Dr. Sean Healey has 20 years of professional experience in Optometry and has been with Ophthalmology Associates since June 2000. Dr. Healey is currently located in the Fort Worth and Hurst offices.
Dr. Healey was born in Metuchen, New Jersey, and as he grew up, lived with his parents and siblings in New York, Illinois, and Minnesota. His family settled in Arlington, Texas when he entered high school. Dr. Healey graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and then received a Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston.
During his optometric education, Dr. Healey had the privilege to train at Mary Greene Eye Excellence Center in Houston and The Eye Care and Surgery Center in Dallas. This training focused on corneal pathology as well as the management of cataract and refractive surgery patients.
Dr. Healey is a Texas Board Certified therapeutic optometrist and is also certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.
Dr. Healey performs general eye exams and is trained in the pre-operative and post-operative management of cataract and refractive surgery patients.
Outside the office, Dr. Healey enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons. He is an avid follower of collegiate, professional, and his sons’ sports.
