An irregularly shaped cornea can blur or distort vision at any distance, often causing headaches or eye strain. Correction options include glasses, contacts, LASIK, and refractive lens exchange.

A cataract clouds the eye's natural lens, leading to blurred vision, glare, poor night vision, and halos around lights. Surgery replaces the clouded lens with a clear artificial one.

This diabetes-related condition damages the retina's blood vessels and can threaten vision over time. Symptoms include blurred vision and new floaters, with treatment options including laser therapy, injections, and vitrectomy.

Glaucoma damages the optic nerve, often gradually and without early symptoms. Left untreated, it can lead to permanent vision loss, but eye drops, laser treatment, and surgery can help protect your sight.

When one eye doesn't develop normal vision in childhood, the result is reduced vision that's often correctable with early treatment, including glasses, patching, or vision therapy.

This age-related condition affects central vision by damaging the macula. As it progresses, reading and recognizing details becomes harder, though supplements, laser therapy, and injections can help slow it.

Uveitis refers to inflammation inside the eye, which can cause redness, pain, and vision changes. Treatment depends on the cause and may include drops, oral medication, or injections.

When the eyes don't produce enough tears, or those tears evaporate too fast, the result is irritation, burning, and blurred vision. Relief options range from artificial tears to in-office procedures.

Thank you all.

Thank you all. I love it and I can see y’all are the best if I had to do it again and go back with you all. My vision is perfect. I do not have to wear glasses either!

After having really excellent vision from my youth thru about age forty, I have gone through reading glasses, bifocals and no line bifocal and my vision seemed to just keep getting worse, and then I needed cataract surgery. Now at age sixty-six years, I feel as if I am twenty years old again, vision-wise. From near to far, I can see sharply again with the lens implants and no cataracts. The whole procedure has been a great experience for me and I hope others can benefit also.

My decision to have Premium implant surgery has to rank as one of the best decisions I have ever made – and the decision to have Dr. Warren perform this is a major part of that, having researched and interviewed numerous other ophthalmologists before making my choice. I had a progressive case of cataracts post-heart transplant which I thought might be irreversible. After the Premium lens implant, my eyesight is 20/20 or better. The total experience has been delightful, especially the interaction with the staff. Every aspect of my Premium lens experience has been professional and pleasurable. I recommend Dr. Warren and his staff for the best in ophthalmological care.

How often should I have an eye exam?

It is recommended that adults have their eyes tested every two years. However, those with certain conditions may need to be seen more frequently. For children, it is recommended that they have their eyes tested at least once before starting school.

Fort Worth Ophthalmology Associates accepts most major insurance plans. Our staff will work with you to determine if your services are covered by your insurance plan.

Yes, cataract surgery can be performed in conjunction with other eye conditions. Our ophthalmologists will assess your condition and develop a personalized treatment plan to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Common symptoms of cataracts include blurred vision, difficulty seeing at night, halos around bright lights, and vision changes. Cataract surgery is the most common treatment. During this procedure, the eye's natural lens is replaced with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL).

Glaucoma is typically diagnosed through a comprehensive eye exam. We use a variety of tests to evaluate your optic nerve and measure intraocular pressure. Treatment options for glaucoma include eye drops, laser surgery, and microsurgery.

Refractive surgery, such as LASIK, can significantly reduce or eliminate your dependence on glasses and contacts, often with a quick recovery. As with any procedure, there are risks, including dry eye, glare, or under- or over-correction, which your surgeon will review with you in detail before you decide.

Prior to your eye surgery, our ophthalmologists will provide you with detailed instructions on how to prepare. This may include avoiding certain medications and stopping contact lenses use. It is also important to arrange for someone to drive you home after the procedure.

Yes, there are several non-surgical treatment options for glaucoma, including eye drops and certain medications.

LASIK is a type of laser eye surgery that can correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. To determine if you are a good candidate for LASIK, our ophthalmologists will perform an evaluation and create a customized treatment plan. We also offer a LASIK self-test to help you decide if LASIK is right for you.

Ophthalmology is a medical specialty that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of eye conditions and diseases. Optometry, on the other hand, is a profession focused on the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of vision problems.
