Adriana Guardiola, O.D. – Therapeutic Optometry
Fort Worth Optometrist
Therapeutic Optometry
Dr. Adriana Guardiola grew up in Red Oak, Texas where she graduated from high school in 2013. She went on to receive an Associates in General Studies from Navarro College in 2016 and a Bachelor of Science with a minor in Business Administration from University of Texas at Arlington in 2018. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the Kentucky College of Optometry – University of Pikeville in 2024.
Dr. Guardiola began to develop a love for optometry in 2015 when she started working for a local optometrist as a technician. Her optometrist served as her mentor for 4 years, teaching her foundational information and introducing her to ocular disease cases that came through her office. With her mentor’s blessing, Dr. Guardiola eventually took on an ophthalmic technician and scribe position with a group ophthalmology practice for just over a year. She was able to build on her foundational knowledge, learning new skills, understanding pathology associated with diseases, and an introduction to ophthalmic surgeries.
She performed her optometric externships at Bennett and Bloom Eye Centers (Louisville, KY), Kentucky College of Optometry (Pikeville, KY), Pikeville Medical Center (Pikeville, KY), and Milan Eye Center (Alpharetta, GA). She was taught by extremely knowledgeable ophthalmologists and optometrists, gaining experience in: co-managing surgical patients, ocular disease, primary care, emergency care, and ophthalmic laser and surgical procedures. She is proud to have trained in Kentucky where an expanded scope of Optometry is practiced.
Dr. Guardiola and her partner, Cody, decided to return to their home state of Texas with their daughter to be closer to family. They are avid Dallas Stars fans and look forward to being able to attend home games again. In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and pets. She also finds joy in caring for houseplants, playing board/card games, and reading novels.
Dr. Guardiola is a Texas Board Certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is a member of American Optometric Association and Texas Optometric Association.
