Katie N. Finnerty Starks, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Finnerty Starks is originally from Southern California and grew up there with her parents and older sister. She attended Biola University where she played volleyball on scholarship and earned her B.S. in biology and minor in Biblical Studies. After college, she attended the University of Arizona and obtained a Master’s of Science in Cellular and Systemic Physiology. Upon graduation, she continued to pursue a medical degree at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque graduating Alpha Omega Alpha, with the Internal Medicine Outstanding Student of the Year and the Faculty Excellence Awards.

Dr. Finnerty Starks completed her intern residency year at Harbor-UCLA in Torrance, California then completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. After residency, she obtained a fellowship at University of Texas Southwestern in Oculoplastic Surgery and Reconstruction and Neuro-Ophthalmology.

Dr. Finnerty Starks is pleased to provide both medical and cosmetic oculoplastic services at Ophthalmology Associates. Her clinical interests include orbital and ophthalmic plastic surgery and facial rejuvenation.

When away from work, Dr. Finnerty Starks spends time with her husband and her two toddlers. She loves attending her church, playing piano and dancing the two-stepping with her husband.
